The Summer in Review

So, while I have NOT been blogging about American Tonalism for 4 months, I HAVE been extremely busy and productive painting. It has been tourist season at the gallery and my paintings have been selling! And since I haven’t yet delved into the world of passive income and prints, I have had to produce new original artwork on a fairly consistent basis to keep my wall updated and full of wonderful new art. It’s been so amazing!!! I feel very much like this year I have developed into a consistent artist with a real style that is my own. I realize that it isn’t necessarily consistent with watercolor purists, but it is mine. And apparently, people have enjoyed what they saw enough to BUY my art. It is truly an honor. If you had asked me 5 years ago if my paintings would be hanging in the houses of strangers, I would have emphatically stated NO. So, honestly, I am truly grateful for this gift.

Because I have been so busy (Please check out the newer paintings on my Gallery page…scroll down), I AM starting to look into prints. I have begun making mini-prints of my artwork that I sell at the Banner Elk Artists Gallery. And I am hoping that at some point in the winter months, I will start to sell some prints on Etsy or on this website. I have so many paintings that don’t fit the gallery vibe but I would love to sell. Let me know if there are any that YOU would like. Until then, here are a few of my paintings of Scotland where I traveled with my husband in May. (I’m trying to figure out how to go back ASAP!)
